The 4D BEACON is a self Installed, light weight Telematics beacon with internal battery, triaxial accelerometer and gyro.  The Customer’s smartphone is required for GPS data and connectivity to the server. An App running on the smartphone handles data serving to the server.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The AVMAP TELEMATICS ecosystem


The 4D BEACON gathers data thanks to the built-in triaxial accelerometer and gyro and using the smartphone GPS. Data are sent via BLE to to user’s smartphone, while a mobile APP handles data sending to server, using the data format and communication protocol of the AVMAP TELEMATICS ecosystem.

AVMAP 4DTELEMATICS ALGORITHMS detect events with peaks starting from 0.6g, while others only see what happens over 2g, leaving out minor impacts that can cause damages to the vehicle and are critical for insurance and fleet management services.
